Fans of Ajith are on a high as the actor's latest outing Thunivu has turned out to be a super hit. The movie helmed by H Vinoth has grossed more than 170 crores worldwide and stands next to Viswasam as his career's second biggest grosser. The trade is curious to know how far the action drama could draw audience.
On the other hand, his admirers are eager to know when he will join AK 62 (tentative title), his next outing with Vignesh Shivan. The star was spotted at an airport in the UK recently after which speculation has started doing the rounds that the movie is likely to go on floors soon.
However, Twitter was abuzz today with an unexpected news which left many fans baffled. There were rumours that Atlee will be helming an Ajith-starrer and that it will be AK 63. Though the Raja Rani filmmaker is awaiting the release of Jawan, there are reports that he will be teaming up with Vijay for the fourth time soon.
The possibility of his collaboration with Ajith left many confused. However, it turns out that the news which spread like a wildfire is untrue. Many still continued guessing about the director who is going to helm Ajith's 63rd project.
The names of Vishnuvardhan and Siva are doing the rounds with regard to it. The former has associated with the star twice, while the latter teamed up with him four times.
Meanwhile, AK 62, being bankrolled by Lyca Productions, has Anirudh collaborating with Ajith for the third time. An official announcement on the film's cast and crew is expected to happen soon.
