Ajith Kumar is set to make a grand comeback to films after a short break, with back-to-back promising projects. As reported earlier, the Vidaamuyarchi star is reportedly in talks to play the lead role in the debut Tamil project of KGF director, Prashanth Neel. Even though the reports are not officially confirmed yet, the recent updates suggest that the duo is teaming up for the actor’s 65th outing, which has been tentatively titled AK 65. Reportedly, Ajith Kumar and Prashanth Neel’s untitled film is a period-action thriller.

AK 65: Ajith Kumar and Prashanth Neel team up for a period film?

According to the recent updates, Ajith Kumar is in talks with the KGF fame director, for the 65th outing in Tamil cinema. Prashanth Neel, who is planning to make his Tamil directorial debut with the project, reportedly narrated a period subject to the actor, which gives prime importance to action. Ajith is said to be highly impressed with the storyline and has asked the filmmaker to work on the script. However, the project might not have its official announcement until unless the script is locked.

Meanwhile, Ajith Kumar’s manager Suresh Chandra confirmed that the actor has not yet signed a new project after his 63rd outing Good Bad Ugly yet. Even though the close sources brushed off the reports, the grapevine suggests that the team is keeping mum about the project as the script is not locked yet. It is also confirmed that the Prashanth Neel directorial might not be the next immediate project of Ajith, as the filmmaker is busy with the making of his ambitious project, Salaar 2.

Ajith to team up with Sun Pictures for AK 64?

According to the grapevine, Ajith Kumar is teaming up with the prestigious banner Sun Pictures, for his 64th project. The movie, which is reportedly set to have its official launch by early 2025, is expected to the actor’s next project after Good Bad Ugly. The project is still in its budding stages, and is yet to find its director and techncians. As per the reports, Ajith has made it clear that there won’t be any new film announcements, at least until the release of his next outing, Vidaamuyarchi.
