Ajith Kumar to prioritise racing over acting in 2025: 'I don't need to be told what to do'

Ajith is currently preparing for the Dubai 24H event on January 11. His upcoming film Good Bad Ugly is set for release on April 10, while Vidaamuyarchi's release remains postponed

Ajith Kumar, who enjoys a massive fanbase as an actor, is a noted racer who has taken up to participating in world-level racing competitions. The Vidaamuyarchi actor is currently gearing up for the upcoming Dubai 24H racing event on January 11. Speaking at the event, Ajith revealed his plans for balancing films and racing, while at the same time, he also talked about his plans of prioritizing himself as a racer and team owner, than as an actor in 2025.

Ajith Kumar may be missing in action as an actor, with Vidaamuyarchi getting postponed. However, Ajith is currently concentrating on his racing career. He spoke about his plans for 2025 at a recent racing event.

Ajith spoke elaborately on participating in races, including British Formula 3 and his racing career. While pointing out how he has to balance both film commitments and racing, the actor was asked if he is permitted to race by his production companies and does his contracts contain them. To this, Ajith replied, "No I need not be told what to do, what not to do. For now, I plan to pursue more sports, not just as a driver but team owner as well. Until the racing season is on, I won't be signing films. Probably from October until March, before the racing season commences, I will act in films so that no one is worried and I can be on full throttle.”

Ajith is currently participating at the Dubai 24H racing event on January 11.

Good Bad Ugly release date

Meanwhile, Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly has got a release date. The Adhik Ravichandran directorial is all set to hit theatres on April 10. The film will clash with Dhanush’s Idly Kadai. The film stars Trisha, Arjun Das, Prasanna and others.

Ajth’s Vidaamuyarchi is yet to get a release date, with the makers postponing it from Pongal release.
