Rumour had it that Ajay Devgn has approached Salman Khan to join his Bholaa universe.
Actor Ajay Devgn is currently enjoying success after the release of Drishyam 2, in which Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, and Shriya Saran also appear in pivotal roles. Ajay earlier today released the teaser for his upcoming movie, Bholaa. The actor reportedly approached his close buddy Salman Khan for the Bholaa sequel shortly after the teaser was made public.
Ajay and Salman's friendship made headlines, but it appears that the audience will have to wait a little longer to see them on the big screen. The Bholaa film's makers officially debunked the rumours in a statement they posted a while back. Ajay has not approached Salman for the Bholaa sequel, according to the statement. Ajay is currently preoccupied with the film he directed's post-production.
The statement read as, "There are news reports doing rounds in the media about Ajay Devgn approaching Salman Khan for the *Bholaa*s sequel. Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn share a great rapport & friendship; however, Ajay has not approached him for the sequel of Bholaa. Currently Ajay Sir is busy with the post production of his directorial Bholaa".
According to rumours, Ajay will adapt Bholaa into a three-part series. Reports suggest that the remaining portions will have original stories, in contrast to Bholaa, which is a formal remake of the Tamil film Kaithi with Karthi.
Meanwhile, Ajay shared the teaser on social media and wrote, “Kaun hai woh…jisko pata hai, woh khud laapata hai.”
Bholaa's teaser has left fans incredibly impressed, and they can't wait to see it in a theatre. Tabu has a significant part in the movie as well. The 3D release date is set for March 30, 2023.
Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn is now working on Maidaan and Singham 3 in addition to Bholaa. Salman, on the other hand, has the sequel to No Entry as well as Kick 2, Tiger 3, Dabangg 4, and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan in the works.
