After its premiere, Ajagajantharam, the hugely popular film starring Antony Varghese, sparked discussions of a sequel. Even though there have not been many updates, recent reports indicate that the script is being worked on and suggest that the project may begin in late 2024 or early 2025. The makers are expected to shortly release more information about the cast and crew.

About the film's sequel, director Tinu Pappachan talked about it in an interview with Silly Monks Mollywood. "Should I have been a filmmaker who wanted to stick to my regular approach, I would have taken on Ajagajantharam 2 rather than my second directing project, Chaaver. The filmmaker went on, "The first part of the film ended with a potential for a sequel." Ajagajantharam marked Tinu's directorial debut.

Ajagajantharam lauded for its action-packed narrative

The film, which has been penned by actors Kichu Tellus and Vineeth Vishwam, was well received by viewers throughout its successful theatrical run. Tinu had said to OTTplay following the movie's box office triumph, "It brings me great pleasure to see the audience celebrate watching our movie in theatres. They can be seen dancing and cheering in front of the big screen." In supporting parts in the film are Chemban Vinod, Arjun Ashokan, Lukman Avaran, Sudhi Koppa, Sabumon, and Jaffer Idukki. There are several heart-pounding scenes and disputes in the movie.

The focal point of the film is Aranjali, who is occupied with a local temple festival. When a gang of locals who love trouble get into a fight with a group of mahouts, everything devolves into complete chaos. Nevertheless, the mahouts wind up drawing the ire of the general people as well as a well-known criminal.

Ajagajantharam streaming on Sony LIV

Similar to Tinu Pappachan's most recent movie, Chaaver, which starred Kunchacko Boban, Antony Varghese, and Arjun Ashokan, Ajagajantharam can be streamed on Sony LIV. This film, which can be viewed on the platform in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, is essentially just a collection of protracted conflicts with little to no narrative development.
