Anant is the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, the Indian billionaire, who is the richest person in Asia and the 11th richest person in the world. The Ambanis are the founders of Reliance Industries.

Before Anant and Radhika tie the knot in July, the pre-wedding festivities commence well in advance on February 28, 2024. Marking the beginning of this pre-wedding celebration with ‘Anna Seva’, an act of selfless service wherein the couple, alongside their loved ones, extend their kindness by providing food and nourishment to the villagers of Jamnagar, Gujarat. This philanthropic gesture holds profound significance, as it aims to extend sustenance and joy to approximately 51,000 residents residing in the quaint villages, symbolising the couple's commitment not just to each other, but also to the welfare of their community.

The special occasion ‘Anna Seva’ was attended by Mukesh Ambani himself, along with his youngest son Anant Ambani, soon-to-be daughter-in-law Radhika Merchant with her parents Viren Merchant, Shaila Merchant, and Radhika’s grandmother, personally hosted a traditional Gujarati dinner for community members at Jogvad village near the Reliance Township, seeking their blessings. This event is the start of a series of similar gatherings scheduled over the coming days.

At the ‘Anna Seva’ event, attendees were not only indulged with a delicate dinner, but were also entertained with the enchanting melodies of traditional folk music, known as Dayaro. The atmosphere was filled with cultural richness as renowned Gujarati singer Kirtidan Gadhvi adorned the occasion with his mesmerizing performance, captivating the audience with each note and rhythm. It was an evening filled with culinary delights and soul-stirring musical experiences, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate to be present.
