Agent: Akhil Akkineni’s spy thriller to release on THIS date; see the latest poster

Also starring Mammootty in an important role, the thriller is directed by Surender Reddy

Akhil Akkineni and Mammootty are getting ready for the release of the spy thriller Agent. The movie’s makers have now released a new poster for the spy thriller and also announced an official release date.

AK Entertainments, which is one of the makers, took to social media to share the poster. “An Action Spectacle awaits you in theatres," they wrote, announcing that the movie will hit theatres on August 12, 2022.

The poster features the actor, with his face turned away and looking up, and holding a gun. People can be seen in the background holding guns and in suits. The poster seems to be from the European leg of the movie and hints at an intriguing spy thriller.

The makers also released a poster for the movie featuring Megastar Mammootty a few days ago. The poster had the star wearing a gun and walking through some falling debris. The actor is expected to play an army officer in the spy thriller.

The movie, written and directed by Surender Reddy, has already caught the attention of moviegoers. Akhil Akkineni is also expected to shine in the movie after his makeover for Agent had earlier caught the fans’ eyes.

Backed by AK Entertainments and Surender 2 Cinema, the spy thriller has music by Hiphop Tamizha, while Rasool Ellore and Naveen Nooli are the cinematographer and editor, respectively.

Akhil was last seen in the romantic comedy Most Eligible Bachelor co-starring Pooja Hegde and directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar. The movie was received with mixed reviews by the fans.

Mammootty's period action drama Bheeshma Parvam directed by Amal Neerad, is currently continuing its strong run in theatres. The actor will also be seen in CBI 5: The Brain, Puzhu, and Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakam.
