Agatha All Along: Mephisto was never going to appear in the Kathryn Hahn show - Showrunner finally breaks silence on the rumors

Agatha All Along has finally wrapped up the first season and it feels like fans are upset Mephisto did not make it in the nine episodes.

Agatha All Along Was Never Supposed To Have Mephisto

This month for the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been about their latest show that has impressed fans across the world and proven its mettle. Yes, we are talking about Agatha All Along the spin-off show to WandaVision and the second in the trilogy of shows that ends with the Vision series. The show, which has Kathryn Hahn at its center, takes the MCU down a new road, exploring witches, their world, and what happened after the brilliant climax of the Elizabeth Olsen-led show.

While the buzz around Agatha All Along was strong and loud, there were also so many rumors surrounding the show that we lost count of the number of characters allegedly included. However, one of the biggest names was Mephisto. But when he did not appear in the show, fans were left disheartened.

Mephisto Was Never in Plans for Agatha All Along

But to our collective surprise, Agatha All Along showrunner Jac Schaeffer has now revealed that Mephisto was never supposed to appear in the show, as the idea to include him was dismissed early on. Yes, you read that right. The excitement among fans was at its peak when the show name-dropped Mephisto in an episode, leading people to believe he was involved somehow. But he wasn't. “In my heart, no. I hope this doesn’t upset anyone, but Mephisto has never interested me,” Schaeffer said, as per Comicbook. “But we have an early, early document that included him as a potential antagonist, but I don’t remember ever really taking that seriously. Also, logistically, it wasn’t right for our show within the MCU. I will say, it was not my intention to toy with anyone regarding the Mephisto stuff. I think I just continue to underestimate the appetite for Mephisto among the fan base.”
