Agatha All Along is set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on September 18 and here's everything about the schedule.
Agatha All Along Release Schedule
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) finally seems to have found a happy trigger after what feels like an eternity. Thanks to Deadpool and Wolverine excitement for what follows in the MCU has been reignited. The next project in line arrives on the streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar. Yes, we are talking about Agatha All Along, starring Kathryn Hahn, a show that expands the horror world of the MCU, bringing a fresh twist to a franchise that has stayed away from this genre for a while. While there has been much mystery surrounding the show, the biggest question has been its release format, leading up to Halloween. Now, the makers have shared the release schedule, revealing much more than just dates.
By now, you’re probably aware that Agatha All Along picks up from WandaVision where Elizabeth Olsen portrayed Wanda Maximoff’s transformation into the Scarlet Witch. At the end of WandaVision, we saw Agatha Harkness left in Westview under a spell cast by Scarlet Witch. Agatha All Along will explore the breaking of that spell and Agatha's journey to regain her powers. Now, the makers have shared the release format and calendar for the show.
As per the latest update, Agatha All Along will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar with two episodes on September 18, 2024. The show will then release one episode each Wednesday until October 30, 2024, marking Halloween. To conclude Kathryn Hahn’s series on the spookiest day of the year, the makers will release the penultimate and finale episodes—the 8th and 9th episodes, which are said to be a two-part finale—on October 30. Check out the full schedule below.
Interestingly, while sharing the schedule for Agatha All Along the makers revealed much more than anticipated. In the announcement poster, each episode’s number is written in a different font, which hints at the horror movie or franchise that inspired that particular episode. For example, the inverted pentagram in Episode 2’s design hints at its style being inspired by The Exorcist. The blood-dripping font for Episode 7 suggests a nod to The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Agatha All Along has a lot to address in terms of the franchise it's building within the MCU. Being a spinoff of WandaVision means it will affect the Scarlet Witch’s story, the fate of Vision, and could possibly lead into the Vision Quest show. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more updates on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
