Starring Agastya Nanda in the lead, the teaser for the biopic is said to be released soon. But the latest from the film is that it will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video after its theatrical run.
On Tuesday, streaming giant Amazon Prime Video shared an intriguing lineup of projects. In the new lineup, big banner movies like Stree 2, Housefull 5, Ikkis, and Chandu Champion have found their OTT home on Prime Video. The upcoming films will premiere on the streaming giant after their respective theatrical releases. Maddock Films’ Ikkis stars Agastya Nanda in the lead role as Arun Khetarpal PVC, the youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient and the highly decorated hero of the 1971 War. Veteran actor Dharmendra also plays an important role in the film.
At the event, Agastya expressed his gratitude to director Sriram Raghavan for the opportunity. Interestingly, Varun Dhawan, whom Agastya replaced, also joined the Ikkis team on stage during the announcement.
Agastya, who debuted with Zoya Akhtar’s Archies, is all set for his second film. Ikkis. The young star sparked conversations after he replaced Varun Dhawan in the lead role. During the event, filmmaker Sriram Raghavan revealed that Agastya has lost weight and transformed his physique to suit the character. “I’m very grateful to have this opportunity, and I’m in great hands with Sriram sir," Agastya shared at the event.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films, Ikkis is based on the life of Arun Khetrapal, the youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient and the highly decorated hero of the 1971 War.
Helmed by Merry Christmas and Andhadun maker Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis also stars Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat in prominent roles.
