Kamal Haasan’s Vikram is already setting the box office on fire within a day of its release. Fans, who had been waiting eagerly for the veteran actor in an action-packed role got their money’s worth with the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial. Up next, the Ulaganayakan has confirmed that he is gearing up to team up with C U Soon and Malik filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan.

The project was first announced last year when Mahesh’s Malik had dropped on OTT platform. The film was rumoured to be a sequel of Thevar Magan with Kamal himself scripting the venture. A source to the director had also told OTTplay that the film had been in the works for sometime now and would be a full-fledged Tamil movie mounted on a massive scale.

Now, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Kamal has confirmed that his film with Mahesh would indeed be his next project. The star said that he has given his dates to Mahesh, who had worked with him in Vishwaroopam duology as an editor. The veteran actor also said that he has completed the script and now the duo are currently tweaking a bit. The film is expected to go on floors by July end or the first week of August, said Kamal, who will also be producing the venture.

Meanwhile, Mahesh, who is also set to make his Bollywood debut with Phantom Hospital, has scripted Fahadh Faasil’s upcoming survival thriller Malayankunju. Mahesh has also cranked the camera for the movie, which is directed by Sajimon Prabhakar.

Fahadh and Mahesh, who had previously teamed up for Take Off, C U Soon and Malik, will also be collaborating for a segment in the upcoming Netflix anthology, which is based on MT Vasudevan Nair’s stories. The anthology, which also has Mohanlal, Mammootty, Parvathy Thiruvothu and Asif Ali, is expected to drop on the platform later this year.
