In a recent interview, Vijay Varma briefly discussed his personal life, revealing that he has received a great deal of love. His words follow Tamannaah Bhatia's confirmation that she is dating him a few days ago. Vijay contrasted with Tamannaah by saying that he would rather have his work speak for itself than his private life.

There were reports that Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma were dating after a video of them kissing at a New Year's party in Goa went viral online. Vijay's buddy and Dahaad co-actor, Gulshan Devaiah, had previously told the Hindustan Times that something is there between them, but what it is, he doesn't know. The two remained tight-lipped about their relationship. It appears like they have fantastic chemistry with one another; that must have some significance.

Vijay was recently probed regarding the media's fixation on his private life. In a video posted on YouTube, he told Janice Sequeira that he could just tell that there's a lot of love in his life right now. One speaks about it when the right time comes. He is content, too. He was also asked why he would rather keep his private life under wraps. The performer reasoned that he would rather have his art speak for itself than anything from his personal life.

Tamannaah said to Film Companion not too long ago that Vijay and he, as performers and humans, got along on one thing: when someone simply lets one be without attempting to modify anything that is not in their comfort. If she did things his way, he'd give her the spotlight. Vijay always gave Tamannaah the freedom to pursue her interests. He'd be all right; let him take a tip or two, and she would be happy to oblige. Tamannah doesn't think it's necessary to give orders when there are two fully developed human beings working together. They are both adults; they don't need to micromanage each other's daily activities. The word "respect" is unspoken.

Tamannaah and Vijay are all set to be seen together onscreen for the first time in Lust Stories 2. She said that their romance had its origins on the sets of their film.
