After Yodha gets postponed, Karan Johar announces Rajkummar Rao-Janhvi Kapoor's Mr. and Mrs. Mahi's new release date

Karan Johar makes calendar adjustments for his upcoming films releasing in 2024.

It seems like several release dates are getting rescheduled after their initial announcements. Earlier this week, it was announced that Yodha which was set to release in December 2023, has now been postponed to March 15, 2024. Meanwhile, Karan Johar, who had earlier revealed that Mr. and Mrs. Mahi would be hitting the big screens on March 15, has now announced the new release date.

Mr. and Mrs. Mahi's release date shifts to April 19, 2024

Yes, after Yodha will be releasing on a new date Mr. and Mrs. Mahi will have its theatrical release on April 19, 2024. While making the announcement for the Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor-starring film, Karan wrote on his Instagram page, "It’s all heart and more, which makes a magical story 'pitch-perfect'! #MrAndMrsMahi in cinemas on April 19, 2024. (sic)"

It was in May this year when the filming of Mr. and Mrs. Mahi wrapped. In the film, the lead actors, Rajkummar and Janhvi, play the roles of cricketers, and the film is directed by Sharan Sharma.

Janhvi Kapoor reflects on Mr. and Mrs. Mahi journey

Meanwhile, talking about her experience working in the film Janhvi wrote on her Instagram page, "It's been two years since I first picked up a bat. And now we’ve finally wrapped Mr. and Mrs. Mahi I thought I’d wake up today feeling lighter and relieved because we all gave more to this film than we thought was even possible. But I feel kind of empty. Like a blank canvas. I feel like we’ve been to war and back, and I saw so many heroes in action."

While talking about her director, the actor went on to write, "You made sure, no matter how difficult things got, that none of us were compromising on our attempt at excellence. Under the burden of the world's stress, I am still pushing, never settling."

She praised Rajkummar by adding, "I am so lucky to have worked with you and witnessed your genius. You added magic to our film."

Janhvi concluded by writing, "In many ways, waking up this morning felt like a rebirth. 'Every act of creation is first an act of destruction.' It’s safe to say that at many moments, it felt like the grind was destroying us. And had destroyed us mentally and physically, but I have faith in what we have created through it. I can't wait for you guys to see it."

Mr. and Mrs. Mahi marks the second outing of Rajkummar and Janhvi on the big screen after Roohi.
