Jason Momoa is awaiting the release of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and is also part of the tenth Fast & Furious instalment.

Jason Momoa will once again collaborate with Apple TV+, this time on a limited series titled Chief of War.
The actor has been a part of the streamer's series See which has been renewed for a third season.
Deadline reports that Momoa will not only headline eight episodes of Chief of War but will also write and executive produce. Also attached to the project as a creator is Thomas Pa’a Sibbett.
The show is about "the epic and unprecedented telling of the unification and colonization of Hawaii from an indigenous point of view." Ankler writes that the show will be set in 1795 when the four major kingdoms of Hawaii were mostly at war with each other.
Francis Lawrence, Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Erik Holmberg and Doug Jung are the executive producers as well. Jung will serve as showrunner, while Justin Chon is in talks to helm the first two episodes.
TVLine writes that this show will be monumental in encapsulating the history of Hawaii which has been largely ignored in Hollywood, especially with Momoa, a Hawaiin native himself, at the forefront. The report adds that the makers are in search of writers of Polynesian descent to help develop the show.
Momoa has been actively trying to get more Hawaiin stories out there is attached as director of an indie film based on the historical figure Ko'olau the Defiant One.
Momoa was most recently seen in Dune which swept the Oscars 2022 with six wins for Best Sound, Best Original Score, Best Film Editing, Best Production Design, Best Visual Effects, and Best Cinematography. He is awaiting the release of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and is also part of the tenth Fast & Furious instalment.
