There’s hardly any denying the highlights of this year’s biggest action blockbuster in Malayalam were the five stunt sequences in RDX: Robert Dony Xaviour. The film’s stunt choreographers Anbariv are now set to do one better in their next Malayalam venture, which has megastar Mammootty in the lead.

As per reports, the film, which is reportedly titled Adipidi Joseum Indulekhayum, is set to have some major action sequences. Touted to be an action-comedy, the film is scripted by Midhun Manuel Jose and directed by Pulimurugan filmmaker Vysakh.

The movie, which has Pachuvum Athbuthavilakkum actress Anjana Jayaprakash essaying the female lead , is set to go on floors soon and reports suggest that the film, which will be made on a big budget, will have six action sequences.

It’s been a while since Mammootty did an all-out action venture, even though the actor’s such sequences in films such as Bheeshmaparvam and most recently, Kannur Squad, were cheered for in theatres. With Vysakh, known for ‘mass’ action films such as Madhuraraja and Pulimurugan, at the helm, the upcoming venture promises to have sequences that play to the gallery.

Anbariv duo, who had also served as action directors for films such as KGF and Vikram, will next showcase their work in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Leo , which is set to hit theatres on October 19. While their action scenes are usually appreciated, glimpses of stunt sequences featuring Vijay in the trailer that was released recently, didn’t quite please the fans this time. It remains to be seen how this would be welcomed in theatres.

Mammootty’s purple patch continues with Kannur Squad

Mammootty, meanwhile, will be looking to continue his successful run. His latest release Kannur Squad had already grossed over Rs 60 crore worldwide, dethroning Mohanlal’s Drishyam in the process . The film, which is also produced by the megastar, is helmed by Roby Varghese Raj and revolves around true events.

Apart from Mammootty, Kannur Squad also has Azeez Nedumangad, Shabareesh Varma, Dhruvan and Arjun Radhakrishnan as part of its cast. Mammootty plays the role of ASI George Martin, who leads a team of police officers across India to apprehend four elusive criminals.
