The Malayalam actor has been approached by Aditya Chropra for a limited series, according to reports
Prithviraj Sukumaran could reportedly be joining hands with Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films for a pan-Indian limited web series, according to reports. The web series will mark the second collaboration between YRF and the Malayalam actor after Aurangzeb.
According to a report in Peepingmoon.com, Prithviraj and Chopra have had a round of discussions regarding an upcoming web series. The series is being developed by YRF Digital, which will foray into OTT space with Babil Khan’s upcoming web series directed by Shiv Rawail.
Prithviraj has been approached for a different project, which is touted to be a thriller that will go on floors next year. The actor is yet to commit to the project as he already has a host of projects lined up – one of which is rumoured to be KGF director Prashanth Neel’s Kannada-Telugu bilingual Salaar, which has Baahubali actor Prabhas in the lead.
The Malayalam actor had in a recent interview revealed that he is also in talks with several OTT platforms for making the Hindi version of Lucifer, not as a film but as a full-fledged web series. Lucifer, which starred Mohanlal in the lead, was initially planned as a 11-episode web series before Prithviraj and its writer Murali Gopy decided to make it into a three-film franchise.
Lucifer’s second part Empuraan, which will also be directed by Prithviraj, is currently scheduled to begin production next year. This would be another project that occupies most of his time in 2022, apart from Aadujeevitham that will keep him busy in the first half of the year.
Meanwhile, Prithviraj has currently wrapped up the shoot of his second directorial Bro Daddy, which again has Mohanlal in the lead. He is currently shooting for Alphonse Puthren’s Gold and will resume Dijo Jose Antony’s Jana Gana Mana next.
