After Madha Gaja Raja success, Santhanam unveils DD Next Level first look; to release in May

The fourth instalment in the Tamil horror comedy franchise Dhilluku Dhuddu has been announced! Starring Santhanam in the lead role, the third part is titled DD Next Level. The first-look poster was unveiled on Santhanam's birthday on Tuesday.

Actor-comedian Santhanam, whose recent film Madha Gaja Raja, has been running successfully, unveiled the first look poster of his film DD Next Level. The film is the fourth instalment in the horror comedy franchise Dhilluku Dhuddu.

The shooting for DD Next Level is going at a brisk pace and is in the final phase. The film will hit the screens in May. Produced by Niharika Entertainment and The Show People on a huge budget, the film will be presented by actor Arya. S. Prem Anand who directed DD Returns, is helming this new film as well. DD Next Level stars Santhanam, Gautham Menon, Selvaraghavan, Yashika Anand, Rajendran, and others.

Speaking about the film, director Prem Anand said, "DD Returns was a huge success with great response from audiences from all walks of life. We worked on the script of its sequel for one year. From children to adults, everyone will laugh and enjoy this flick too."

He added that the story of this film starts on a cruise ship and takes place on an island. Dipak Kumar Padhy handled the cinematography of DD Next Level, and Ofro composed the music. Bharath is in charge of editing and AR Mohan is the art director.

Where to watch Dhilluku Dhuddu on OTT?

Dhilluku Dhuddu is a 2016 horror comedy which is available on SunNXT and the OTTplay Premium app. The film is helmed by Rambala and stars Santhanam in the lead role. The film revolves around a couple who are in love much against the girl's father's wishes. However, things go awry after he gets invited to a haunted house.

Dhilluku Dhuddu 2 is available on ZEE5, with Santhanam and the director once again coming together. The film is a spiritual sequel. DD Returns was released in 2023 and is a standalone sequel, which is available on Disney+ Hotstar.
