Actor Vineeth has once again gone behind the microphone to dub for Vivek Oberoi in Shaji Kailas’ upcoming film Kaduva that has Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead. In fact, Vineeth had begun his dubbing career by recording for the Bollywood star in Prithviraj’s directorial debut Lucifer.

While the makers of Lucifer kept Vineeth dubbing for Vivek a surprise and didn’t even mention it in the credit sequences, Prithviraj this time revealed beforehand that the veteran actor has lent his voice to the Bollywood star for Kaduva.

In an interview with an online channel UBL, Prithviraj confirmed that Vineeth has dubbed for Vivek’s character of Joseph Chandy in the Shaji Kailas directorial, which is all set to hit theatres on July 7. The actor also quipped that it has now become a huge part of Vivek’s identity in Malayalam that now when Vineeth speaks, people seem to say it sounds like the Bollywood actor’s voice.

Vineeth had won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Dubbing Artist for his work in Lucifer. After that he had also dubbed for Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan in Big Brother and most recently for Arjun Sarja in Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, which again got him his second State Award for Best Dubbing Artist.

Further on Vivek’s Malayalam, Prithviraj said, “When he says Malayalam, he makes it sound quite real. In fact, if I had a week more for Lucifer’s post-production and I could sit down and work with Vivek, he would have dubbed himself.”

Meanwhile, Vivek’s role in Kaduva is poles apart from Bobby in Lucifer. “Bobby was a charming devil in disguise. He was suave and sweet-talking but untrustworthy and an unfaithful womaniser. Joseph in Kaduva is an honest, exceptional officer who is also a God-fearing Christian and loves his family above anything,” said the actor, in an earlier interview with OTTplay.
