Vikranth is currently expecting the release of Lal Salaam, while Innasi Pandiyan is helming a film titled Bullet
Actor Vikranth, who is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming film with Rajinikanth, Lal Salaam, is set to join hands with director Innasi Pandiyan for a film. However, the details of the film have been kept under wraps.
Vikranth, who will be playing a pivotal lead role in Lal Salaam, made the revelation while speaking during the promotion of his upcoming film. Lal Salaam is set to hit theatres on Friday.
In a recent conversation with OTTplay actor Vikranth confirmed that he will be teaming up with director Innasi Pandiyan, who has helmed the 2022 supernatural mystery thriller Diary, starring Arulnithi in the lead role. Speaking about the project, he said, “It is kind of my dream film. I am looking forward to it and I am sure it will take my career to another level. It is a film that I have never tried before and will be new to Tamil cinema.” However, the actor remained tight-lipped about the film’s genre and others in the cast.

Innasi Pandiyan, who made his debut with Diary, is currently working on a film titled Bullet. The film stars Raghava Lawrence's brother, Elviin, in his debut. It is backed by Five Star Creations LLP and will see Raghava Lawrence in a prominent role. It is expected that his project with Vikranth will take off after he wraps up with Bullet.
In the meantime, Vikranth is awaiting the release of Lal Salaam, which also stars Vishnu Vishal in the lead role. Rajinikanth and Kapil Dev will be making cameo appearances in the film, with Aishwarya Rajinikanth helming the project. Lal Salaam is backed by Lyca Productions and has music scored by AR Rahman.

“It talks about humanity, merging stories from people in Mumbai and Tiruvannamalai, and addresses Hindu-Muslim riots. The film talks about unity and how sports uphold it. I have a lot of scenes with Rajini sir. I wanted to learn as much as I could. He has heaped so much praise on me for how good an actor I am,” said Vikranth while talking about the film, which is set in the 90s.
