After Kacher Manush release, Dev travels to Greece with Rukmini Maitra

Dev and Prosenjit Chatterjee-starrer Kacher Manush was released on September 30 – just before the beginning of Durga Puja. Along with the Pathikrit Basu’s drama, there was Dhrubo Banerjee’s Karnasubarner Guptodhon, Parambrata Chatterjee’s Boudi Canteen, and Chandreyee Ghosh’s Mission Everest. While Dhrubo’s Sonada adventure is by far making the most of the festive season with a solid box office number, Kacher Manush is having a slow but steady run with multiple houseful shows during Puja days.

Now, with mixed to positive reviews from the critics and viewers, Dev took a break and embarked on a holiday. The actor has shared some photos and videos on his social media with his signature cryptic caption, ‘Emni’. He is spending his vacation in Greece with his girlfriend Rukmini Maitra. Though there is no photo of them together, each of them has simultaneously posted pictures of the same place, which explains a lot. According to sources, the couple is vacationing in Santorini.

Previously Dev and Rukmini went to Maldives and Norway for vacation. They are now completely open about their relationship. Though they do not comment publicly about their love life, they also do not hide their emotions about each other. Already the fans are asking for photos showing them together.

Meanwhile, controversy brewed over the business figure of his film, Kacher Manush. A section of the industry has pointed out that despite the star value of Dev and Prosenjit, the film has tanked. On the other hand, sources close to Dev claimed that the film is doing good business so far and it is unfair to compare it with Karnasubarner Guptodhon – which is a part of a very successful and established franchise.

According to the makers of Karnasubarner Guptodhon, the film has minted Rs 5.5 cr in a week. The film features Abir Chatterjee, Arjun Chakrabarty, and Ishaa Saha in lead.
