If until six months ago, Shiva Rajkumar was one of the most sought-after actors in Kannada cinema, his mini Jailer gig has put him on the radar of Tamil filmmakers as well. Only recently, Shiva Rajkumar revealed in an interview that he has a couple of Tamil projects on the cards and that he is yet to get started on them. He revealed that Kumki director Prabhu Solomon has approached him and so has filmmaker Vadivel, along with a Malayalam project headlined by Prithviraj Sukumaran. In a recent conversation with a Kannada news channel, Shivanna revealed that the Vadivel project, quite similar to Jailer and Ghost, also involves a jail!

"There was a tradition at my father's home that once the cooking flame was lit in the morning, it wouldn't go off until really late in the night. Which means that there was food constantly being prepared and no one who came hungry went back with an empty stomach. As many as 300-400 people would be fed on an average day - nothing fancy, a simple meal, but they would be fed for sure. My character in the film belongs to one such magnanimous family and interestingly this story, too, begins in a jail," said Shiva Rajkumar.

He would add that he was drawn to the story not just because of these elements but also the love story that plays out, sharing that it's a unique romance angle. "The female lead, too, is written very well," he says.
