Ankita Lokhande finished in the 4th spot in Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 17. After the show's conclusion, the actress has now announced her new Bollywood movie.

Ankita Lokhande is a renowned Indian TV actress. She rose to fame by playing Archana in Pavitra Rishta, wherein she shared screen space with (late) Sushant Singh Rajput. For the last three months, the actress has been in the Bigg Boss 17 house. She finished in the 4th spot in the Salman Khan-hosted show. A few days after the show ended, Ankita announced her new Bollywood movie, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. The actress' last theatrical release was Baaghi 3 with Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor.

Ankita Lokhande announces her new Bollywood film

Ankita Lokhande seemed a bit disappointed after she couldn't even make it to the top 3 of Bigg Boss 17. However, the actress has all the reasons to rejoice now, as she has her new Bollywood film lined up for release. She took to her official Instagram account and shared a glimpse of her upcoming project, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. While not much is known about her character yet, the film stars actor Randeep Hooda in the lead role.

Sharing a glimpse of Swatantrya Veer Savarkar on the gram, Ankita mentioned that starting a 'new chapter' after Bigg Boss 17 feels extra special. The actress added that she is grateful to be a part of the project that is produced by Anand Pandit and Zee Studios. It is all set to release in cinemas on March 22, 2024.

Pavitra Rishta to Bigg Boss 17: Ankita Lokhande's journey

Before she confirmed her new Bollywood movie, Ankita Lokhande summed up her journey from Pavitra Rishta to Bigg Boss 17. The actress mentioned that her journey from the TV show to being known as 'Rishton Wali Ladki' has been memorable. Lokhande admitted that there were ups and downs. However, she is grateful to her fans for standing by her side and supporting her throughout this journey.

Ankita Lokhande's Bollywoow debut

Meanwhile, Ankita Lokhande made her big Bollywood debut with Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi. The actress shared screen space with actress Kangana Ranaut in the movie. Her first Hindi film was released in 2019, followed by Baaghi 3's release in 2020.
