Kannada actor Adityaa, who, at one point, seemed destined for underworld/gangster films and roles is now steadily getting stuck to another end of the spectrum - as a law enforcement officer. His most recent theatrical release, Kangaroo, had him in cop mode and he has more lined up.

One of Aditya’s films that came out shortly after theatres reopened to full capacity in 2021 was Munduvareda Adhyaya, an investigative thriller directed by Balu Chandrashekhar, in which the actor was ACP Bala.

The film, which has made its way to OTT on Amazon Prime Video, where it is still available, is getting a second home this week. On May 24, Munduvareda Adhyaya will also start streaming on NammaFlix.

Adityaa in cop mode

In Munduvareda Adhyaya, Adityaa, as ACP Bala is put in charge with the investigation of a missing doctor, who vanished en route to a medical camp. When the prime suspect, a contractor with ties to the MLA who runs the hospital the doctor wad attached to, is found dead, the politico turns to ACP Bala to figure out what's going on. The film received lukewarm response during its theatrical outing.

Meanwhile, recently, during the promotions of Kangaroo, Adityaa had revealed that he had been approached to revive a copy franchise made famous by a late Kannada actor. While he did not name the franchise, the fact that he said he would do it only if the late actor's fans are okay with it, led to speculation that he is taking on the mantle of Inspector Sangliyana, made famous by the late Shankar Nag.
