Singer and TV host Aditya Narayan has been in the news for the last few days for allegedly snatching and throwing away a student's mobile phone during a college concert in Bhilai, Chhatisgarh. Netizens have been slamming the singer on social media. A lot has been said about the incident by the singer's manager and event management company. Even Aditya briefly spoke about it. Now, the assaulted student has finally shared his side of the story.

Bhilai student breaks his silence

Lovkesh Chandravanshi, a BSc third-year student at Bhilai's Rungta College, told Telly Talk, "Whatever happened was so sudden. I had not expected that this would happen to me.” Lovkesh added that the concert was in full swing and he was standing in front of the stage. Since Aditya Narayan was performing and taking selfies in between songs, Lovkesh asked him for a selfie. However, things took an ugly and unexpected turn when Lovkesh gave his phone to Aditya, who hit him with a mic and then threw the phone away.

Elaborating further, Lovkesh said, "My brother was standing next to me. Aditya is a huge star and we love him, which is why we went to the concert. He was taking selfies with everyone so I thought he would take one with me too. That's why I gave him my phone."

Lovkesh also called out the event manager for his dishonest claims that he kept hitting Aditya, which made the singer lose his cool. Explaining his side of the story, Lovkesh quipped, "I never touched him. I never hit him. You can see that in the video."

He then defended himself, saying that people have been saying a lot of things they like about this unruly episode but what he has shared publicly is the truth. To drive home his point, Lovkesh added, "Even after throwing away my phone, he continued giving selfies to everyone. Only he knows what his mood was."
