Aditya Narayan last sang Ji Huzoor in Shamshera.
Aditya Narayan claims he is the latest singer to be affected by the politics in the music industry. In an interview, he revealed that he was replaced for one of the biggest songs of the year. Aditya sang the song and was replaced at the end moment.
“I had sung a very big song this year, and my rendition was replaced at the last minute. This particular time I was very upset. Maybe I will talk about it more in the future when a little bit of time has passed,” he told Hindustan Times.
The song, Aditya revealed, is out and it is a big hit. He also shared that he was replaced by another popular singer. Aditya called this singer ‘the best’ and thus, he doesn’t feel too bad about losing out on the project.
The Tattad Tattad singer mentions that he is very particular about the song he associates with. Aditya is the song of renowned singer Udit Narayan.
Despite it all, Aditya is happy that composers are still approaching him. He had crooned Ji Huzoor in Shamshera. The Ranbir Kapoor-starring film released in 2022.
Aditya further reveals that his father Udit Narayan has also faced a similar situation. He remembers how as a kid he heard his dad be excited for a song but eventually, someone else ended up singing that track.
The young singer points out how not only the composer but also producer and actor get involved in deciding which singer to finalize upon. Thus, unless you are releasing your own album, one can barely be certain if they will end up singing in a movie’s song.
Aditya was upset between the four-five days since the song came out and was playing everywhere. He was certain he did a good job too but could not be appreciated for his work. “At the same time, I think from another perspective: kahaan maine itne gaane gaaye honge jo doosron ke liye honge,” the singer signed off.
