The actress plays the character of Anarkali in Taj: Divided by Blood that releases on OTTplay and ZEE5 on March 3
Much-loved pan-Indian actress Aditi Rao Hydari is all set to bring alive the historical character of Anarkali in the upcoming web series, Taj: Divided by Blood.
Speaking about her character, Anarkali, Aditi said, "Initially, I felt a little intimidated by the magnitude of the character of Anarkali. The story excited me, and we all tend to see Anarkali as a larger-than-life tragic heroine. But I really thought that she is just a girl, a human with a beating heart, who is in love. She stands for the truth and does not fear the consequences. And that to me is who Anarkali really is. I hope that we have been able to show this in Taj: Divided by Blood. It is a huge honour for me to be a part of such a beautiful story."
The actress was speaking to the media during the trailer launch of the show in Mumbai. The event was attended by the other cast and crew members, who are sid that they are equally excited about the magnum opus, which re-tells the story of the Mughal dynasty. The show has been created by Abhimanyu Singh and Roopali Singh.
Taj: Divided by Blood has a huge star cast that includes Dharmendra, Naseeruddin Shah, Rahul Bose, Zarina Wahab, Sandhya Mridul, Aashim Gulati and Taaha Shah, along with Aditi.
