Adithattu’s Aanju Valikkada song: First song from Sunny Wayne-Shine Tom Chacko’s film is a conversation between fishermen

The makers of Adithattu, starring Sunny Wayne and Shine Tom Chacko, have released the first song from the upcoming film. The song is a conversation between fishermen and stays true to the sea.

The song is a conversation between a fisherman at sea and others onboard the ship. From the beaming sun that is on the horizon to asking them to pick up their butts and start working, the song feels authentic and real.

One of the biggest positives of the song is that it is sung by Jassie Gift, who has provided the Malayalam film audience with a number of fan-favourite songs. The musician's voice lends a feel of gravitas to the number. Aanju Vakikkada Laisa is written, composed and arranged by Nezer Ahemed.

Another interesting aspect about the lyrical video is that it offers a single shot of a rather small fishing boat at sea, which has fishermen laying nets and looking for a big catch. The video reminds the viewers of the film’s teaser, which was released by the makers a couple of weeks ago.

The teaser, which was cut rather interestingly, showed a few fishermen out at sea and their daily routines. The teaser’s ending captured the interest of the viewers with Shine Tom Chacko and Sunny Wayne embroiled in a fight on the boat’s deck.

The movie, which has only two scenes shot on land, is extensively shot on sea, making it one of the first Malayalam movies to do so. In an earlier exclusive interview with OTTplay, director Dijo Antony said: “There was rain and the sea was tumultuous too. The shoot was risky because if someone fell off the boat, that was it.”

The film also stars Prashant Alexander and Jayapalan. Further details about the film and its release date are awaited.
