Adipurush, starring Prabhas in the lead, is getting ready to open in cinemas in June.
The much-awaited film Adipurush, directed by Om Raut and starring Prabhas, has selected the sacred city of Tirupati as the venue for its pre-release event on June 6. The film, which is a grand cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana, faced its share of challenges during its journey to the big screen.
Originally slated for release in January this year, coinciding with the Sankranti festival season, the film faced backlash when its teaser was unveiled last year. Fans had anticipated a live-action spectacle but were instead presented with a live-animation film that fell short in terms of special effects and disappointed many viewers. This led to a significant PR crisis for the filmmakers.

In response to the negative reactions, the release of the film was postponed, and extensive efforts were made to enhance its quality. The subsequent trailer received a more positive response , with the filmmakers making adjustments to the film's colour palette and incorporating additional CGI shots to improve its overall visual appeal. However, some fans remained sceptical, perceiving these changes as mere attempts to conceal the original flaws of the movie.
The producers seem to be making all efforts to reshape publipc opinion about the movie. Earlier, the filmmakers released the full song of the movie anthem Jai Shri Ram . The song was received well by the audiences, giving some much-needed confidence to the filmmakers.
Besides Prabhas, Adipurush also features Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan in prominent roles. The film is set to hit cinemas on June 16 in multiple langauges.
