Actor Mukesh Khanna, known for his role in the popular series Shaktimaan, has been actively protesting against the release of the movie Adipurush. He has called upon the "100 crore Hindus of India" to join him in his protest, urging them to wake up and prevent the release of this interpretation of the Ramayana. He also mentioned that the entire team of the latest flick should be burned alive at 50 degrees. Adipurush, directed by Om Raut and featuring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon, has faced significant backlash since its announcement.

In an interview with the news agency ANI, Mukesh Khanna expressed his strong disapproval, going as far as cursing the entire team of Adipurush. He stated that they should not be forgiven and even suggested that they should be burned alive at 50 degrees. His fervent opposition to the movie highlights his deep concerns about the portrayal of the beloved epic and its characters.

Mukesh Khanna also criticized lyricist Manoj Muntashir, who is associated with the movie, for his explanations and justifications. He expressed disappointment with Muntashir's responses, stating that he expected him to save face in the face of widespread criticism. Khanna questioned Muntashir's claim that Adipurush is his own version after the works of renowned figures like Valmiki, Tulsidas, and Ramanand Sagar. He wondered if Muntashir considered himself above Valmiki to ask today's children to disregard their cultural heritage and accept his interpretation as accurate.

Mukesh Khanna's strong opposition to Adipurush highlights the ongoing debates surrounding artistic liberties, religious sentiments, and the portrayal of mythological stories in popular media.

As the controversy surrounding Adipurush continues, it remains to be seen how the filmmakers and the wider audience respond to these concerns raised by Khanna and others who share his sentiments.
