It is to be noted that Adipurush crossed the budgets of Baahubali and RRR.
Adipurush, the film that is an adaptation of the Ramayana directed by Om Raut, has been making headlines since the first teaser of the film was released. As soon as the teaser for the film was released, people started criticising it for poor VFX. The Prabhas and Kriti Sanon movie has been made on a megabudget.
It appears that the epic movie will break box office records now that it has finally been released in theatres. According to reports, the high-budget movie is predicted to make Rs 85 crore on its first day of release in India, which is massive.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Rs 25 crore is predicted to be collected from the Hindi-speaking region and an additional Rs 60 crore from the Telugu states. If it crosses these collections, the film will achieve a massive Rs. 120–130 crore collection globally.

Even with such impressive numbers, the movie will fall short of SS Rajamouli's RRR earnings, which were enormous on their opening day. The film falls short of the Rs 257 crore opening day gross that SS Rajamouli's RRR achieved in 2022 by over Rs 110–130 crore. Not just this, but even Prabhas' own Baahubali 2 opened to more than Rs 200 crore in revenue worldwide.
Adipurush will replace superstar Shah Rukh Khan's box office smash Pathaan, which earned Rs 57 crore on day one, if it performs as expected.
It is to be noted that Adipurush crossed the budgets of Baahubali and RRR.
Meanwhile, Prabhas plays Lord Ram in the mythical tale, while Kriti Sanon plays Sita, Saif Ali Khan plays Raavan, and Sunny Singh plays Lakshman. More than 4000 Hindi-language screens and more than 6200 screens nationwide have shown the film.
Now, will Prabhas’ Adipurush cross the Rs. 150 crore mark worldwide? Well, only time will tell.
