Adil Hussain’s film Footprints On Water to premiere in London next month
The actor will also be seen in Netflix’s upcoming romantic fantasy thriller series Tooth Pari: When Love Bites

Acclaimed actor Adil Hussain - whose new romantic fantasy thriller series Tooth Pari: When Love Bites will start streaming on Netflix from April 20 - has more news to share. His film Footprints On Water is all set to premiere at the UK Asian Film Festival in London next month.
Directed by Nathalia Syam, the British feature film follows an “illegal immigrant father in the UK, who looks for his missing daughter while trying to avoid the police radar”. Also featuring Nimisha Sajayan, Lena Kumar and British actor Antonio Akeel, the movie will be screened on May 13 as part of their 25th Silver Jubilee Programme.
Known for his performance in films like The Reluctant Fundamentalist Life of Pi, Hotel Salvation and Maj Rati Keteki, Adil took to Instagram to share the news about Footprints On Water. “We are thrilled to announce our British feature, Footprints On Water, an illegal immigrant drama set in Birmingham, is set to premiere with UK Asian Film Festival in London on 13th of May as part of their 25th Silver Jubilee Programme”, he wrote. Sound design for the movie is done by Resul Pookutty, while it’s produced by Mohaan Nadaar.
Adil’s recently released Assamese film, Dr. Bezbaruah 2 directed by the late Nipon Goswami, has also been widely appreciated. Meanwhile, the actor has received a boarding pass from NASA for a trip to Mars. “I have just been issued this Boarding Pass by @nasa . This Mars Mission Takes off in July 2026 from Cape Canaveral, Florida to Jezero Crater on Mars. 😁😁😁.. I am Not travelling Physically though.😔”, he wrote on Instagram.
Cut to Tooth Pari: When Love Bites directed by Pratim D Gupta, the series also stars Shantanu Maheshwari, Tanya Maniktala, Revathi, Tillotama Shome, Sikandar Kher and Saswata Chatterjee.
