Adhik Ravichandran, an ardent fan of Ajith Kumar, will be directing the actor for a film titled Good Bad Ugly
On Thursday, the makers of actor Ajith Kumar’s upcoming film announced the title of the project as Good Bad Ugly and revealed that filmmaker Adhik Ravichandran will be at the helm of it. While the announcement comes after Adhik’s last film, Mark Antony became a box office success, the young filmmaker revealed about how he was in touch with Ajith even before the film and recalled the time he spent on the sets of Nerkonda Paarvai. Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly is backed by Mythri Movie Makers. It is scheduled to release for Pongal 2025.
At a recent Behindwoods TV event, Adhik Ravichandran opened up about Ajith and working with him. It is to be noted that Adhik shared the screen space as an actor with Ajith in the latter's Nerkonda Paarvai.
While it is a known fact that Adhik is a massive fan of Ajith, he said at the event, "I had gotten the chance to spend time with sir (Ajith) while working in Nerkonda Paarvai and since then my life had reached to a better place. He said that we can do a film together but I was in thought that I had not proved anything so far then. But it was also the major reason to do Mark Antony, and the confidence sir gave me. When your idol pushes you so much with confidence, you ought to be strong.”
Adhik also said that even before Mark Antony release, the duo was in plan to do a film together. "Whenever I am down, I used to watch Ajith sir's interviews. After spending time with him, the way I found cinema and life have changed for better,” he added.
The upcoming Ajith-starrer is backed by Telugu production house Mythri Movie Makers. The film is set to go on floors in June. Eyeing for a Pongal 2025 release, Good Bad Ugly has music by Devi Sri Prasad. With Abhinandan Ramanujam taking care of the cinematography, the film will be edited by Vijay Velukutty.
