Actress Sayantani Guhathakurta enjoys winter with food and friends

Along with Payel Dutta, Kasturi Halder, and Sneha Ghoshal, she was spotted enjoying Western Indian food at a food festival at a city restaurant

Winter is taking its own sweet time to reach Kolkata. But the City Of Joy has started its party preparations. Like every year, the city has been hosting events of food festivals, Christmas Markets, cake mixing, and whatnot! Actress and model Sayantani Guhathakurta, Payel Dutta, Kasturi Halder, and Sneha Ghoshal were spotted gorging on Western Indian food at a food festival at a city restaurant. OTTplay got hold of Sayantani as she talked about her experience.

Talking about the evening, Sayantani said, “Winter in Kolkata is magical and as December creeps in we all get into the party mode. I was down with a fever and now it is my time to get party-ready. In December, when I go to some food festival, I keep my dietary restrictions aside and gorge on good food. I went to this restaurant at Gariahat and they had some amazing West-Indian food in their winter food festival. The lal mas was to die for. This is the time of sarson da saag and makki di roti so I had to gorge on that. Besides, there were interesting parathas and kebabs.”

By her own admission, Sayantani has a sweet tooth. “I cannot resist desserts and here I loved the gazar ka halwa,” she said.

Two of Sayantani’s films – Bappa’s Tribhuj and Arnab Midya’ Sedin Kuyasha Chilo – will be released soon.
