In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Nia Sharma discussed her hiatus from television. Her absence from television, she claims, is not her choice. "We are not someone who can take voluntary breaks. I am not in that position, I am still a beggar who needs work, who needs money. I can never say that about work that I need a break. I want work," she told the portal.

The actress went on to claim that she is choosy when it comes to projects since she wants to feature in the "right one." She went on to emphasise how inconvenient it is for an individual to have to wait for six months or more for a year, considering their nature of work.

Nia also revealed her thoughts of being let down at some moments. "I feel very very let down at times. But I say no more than yes, so I get it. It's fine, I will get something," she said.

Nia also mentioned that she often feels like somebody has put a break on her career. She explained that everything is on pause for the time being because she hasn't been to auditions too in a long time. "The day it comes, whatever comes, something big comes up, I will take it, I want to take it," stated the actress, who is eagerly seeking work.
