Actress Aparna P Nair’s death case: Family accuses husband of domestic abuse, abetment of suicide

The death of Malayalam film and television actress Aparna P Nair has sent shockwaves through the state. There have been many conspiracy theories regarding the sudden demise of the actress, who was found dead at her residence in Thiruvananthapuram on August 31. Now, the late actress’ family has come forward alleging that her husband, Sanjith, forced her to die by suicide.

Allegations against the husband

According to the latest complaint filed by Aparna’s sister, the actress was subjected to mental and physical torture by her husband, which compelled her to take the extreme step. The FIR states that the husband was an alcoholic, and his excessive drinking and ignorance forced Aparna to end her life. Meanwhile, Sanjith has denied all the allegations placed against him. He said that his life with Aparna was devoid of any issues and they were, in fact, a happy couple. The police are inquiring in response to the complaint received against Sanjith.

The story so far

The 33-year-old actress was found dead inside her house in Thaliyil, Karamana, Thiruvananthapuram. It is said that Sanjith and the couple’s younger son were present in the house when she passed away. Later, the police registered a case of unnatural death and started an investigation.

According to a report by Manorama News Aparna’s mother Beena said that they were on a video call minutes before her death. During the call, the late actress is said to have confided in her mother, saying that she could no longer bear her husband’s mental torture. Although she was rushed to a private hospital after the incident, the actress was eventually pronounced dead.

The actress is known for her performance in serials like Chandanamazha Atmasakhi, Devasparsham and Mythili. Aparna was also seen in Dileep’s Kodathi Samaksham Balan Vakeel, Mudhugauv and Achayans.
