Actor Samir Soni on convincing wife Neelam for Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives: I was the one who was after her

Actor Samir Soni has always been active in Bollywood films, television and web series. The actor has recently been seen in the Sunny Leone starrer crime-drama Anamika on MX Player. The Vikram Bhatt directorial also stars Sonnalli Seygall, Rahul Dev, Shehzad Shaikh and Ayaz Khan.

In a recent interview with News18.com, the Baghban actor unveiled his thoughts about the female protagonists in a show and his experience working in the latest web series. He also revealed a few BTS facts about Netflix's show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Housewives, which stars Soni and his wife and yesteryear Bollywood actress Neelam Kothari along with Bhavana Pandey, Maheep Kapoor, Seema Khan among others.

Talking Anamika being a women-centric crime-drama, the actor mentioned that these types of movies and series show women in the kind of character where they are physically strong, and the characters that are typically thought of as a man thing. "I think the moment when you do anything convincingly, it will be accepted. It is no longer the time that women can do this and can’t do that," he added.

Meanwhile, speaking about his wife's superhit reality drama series Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Housewives, Soni revealed that Neelam was nervous to do the show, so, he advised her to be herself and told her that everything will be fine. The Bewafaa Sii Wafaa actor since has been a part of the biggest reality show of India, Bigg Boss. So, it wasn’t difficult for him to be a part of another one and that too with his wife and friends.

“I was the one who was after her. I convinced her by saying that this is a good opportunity because you are with your family and friends, you will be more comfortable," he added.
