The SS Sajjan directorial is the maiden distribution venture of filmmaker Satya Prakash’s Satya Cine Distributors.
Director SS Sajjan’s Four Walls & Two Nighties is special on two counts. For starters, this is the first film that has popular character artiste Achyuth Kumar in a lead role. It is also the first film that Rama Rama Re and Ondalla Eradalla maker D Satya Prakash is distributing through his latest venture, Satya Cine Distributors.
Speaking to us during the launch of his distribution wing, Satya had said, “The biggest challenge for an independent filmmaker is not the actual making, but the process of getting it to theatres. For a while, I have been thinking about trying to understand the aspects of the business of a film once it is with a distributor and then I got some partners who supported my idea. The plan is to not only work out the distribution mechanism of our films, but to provide a platform for young independent filmmakers and give their movies an audience.” Four Walls & Two Nighties kickstarts that journey for Satya.
Earlier today, it was announced that Sajjan’s film, which features Achyuth Kumar as Shankaranna, whose life - through his early days, all the way to being a middle-aged father – is the focus of the narrative, will be released in theatres on February 11. This, in turn, puts the film in direct competition with the big release of that week, actor-director Darling Krishna’s Love Mocktail sequel, Love Mocktail 2.
According to reports, the narrative of Four Walls & Two Nighties will transpire across a few decades, chronicling the leading man’s life, his family and the emotional and love arcs that occur along the way. The film features only two songs, composed by Anand Rajavikram.
