Abraham Ozler, the highly anticipated medical thriller which stars Jayaram in the titular role, has finally hit the theatres today. The movie, which is helmed by the renowned actor-filmmaker Midhun Manuel Thomas, has opened to decent reviews. Jayaram, the leading man is now receiving so much love from the audiences by making a grand comeback to Malayalam cinema with the movie. Along with Jayaram, veteran actor Mammootty made a special appearace in Abraham Ozler, and played an important role.

Mammootty’s character poster from Abraham Ozler is out

The makers of Abraham Ozler finally dropped the highly anticipated character poster of Mammootty from the movie, on social media. The megastar, who played a pivotal character that brings a major turning point in the narrative, is seen in a rugged look in the poster. The Bramayugam actor is seen with an intense expression on his face and messy hairdo, in a green denim shirt. From the poster, it is evident that director Midhun Manuel Thomas and his team have made use of both the star power and acting chops of the megastar to the fullest in the movie.

“Thanks to the audience who is welcoming Abraham Osler with enthusiasm..!!  thanks to India's great actor Mammukka who made Abraham Osler unforgettable..!!” wrote director Midhun Manuel Thomas, who shared the popular star’s first-look poster on his official Instagram handle. Jayaram, on the other hand, shared the veteran actor’s character poster with a bunch of red hearts and folded hands emojis.

Netizens react to Mammootty’s poster reveal

The netizens, especially the cine-goers who have not watched Abraham Ozler yet, are not so happy with the makers’ decision to reveal Mammootty’s character poster on the release day itself. They feel that the makers of the Jayaram-starrer should have waited for at least for a couple of days, before revealing the biggest surprise element of the film on social media. They are now criticizing director Midhun Manuel Thomas and his team, for spoiling the experience for audiences.

However, for anyone who has been actively following film updates on social media, Mammootty’s cameo in Abraham Ozler was not really a surprise. It was confirmed that the megastar is playing a pivotal role in the movie after he was spotted on the sets in his character’s look. Later, the reports on Mammootty’s role in the Jayaram-starrer were officially confirmed with the promising trailer, which featured a dialogue in the megastar's baritone voice.
