The team of Duniya Suri’s film is censored and primed for release, with non-theatrical business cited for its delay so far
Abishek Ambareesh’s much-awaited comeback film Bad Manners, directed by Duniya Suri, has been ready for a while with multiple probable release dates heard every now and then. The team has released as many as five songs and multiple birthday promos for the leading man, with only the trailer pending and the film itself has been censored U/A after several cuts and mutes. But there was no confirmation from the team, with industry sources stating that the only reason for the delay was that they were still trying to figure out non-theatrical business deals, including satellite and digital rights.
But with major streaming platforms insisting on a theatrical release before talking business, given that the audio deal is already done, and the Hindi dubbing rights also on board, it is now being heard that an October release could happen after all. In fact, in the last couple of days, the buzz in industry circles has been that team Bad Manners is eyeing October 27 for its release and that an official announcement could happen shortly. Should this fall in place, this will mean that the thriller will be in direct competition with Rakshit Shetty’s Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B, which has already been pushed ahead from its earlier October 20 date.

Bad Manners has Abishek in the role of a cop and is paired with Rachita Ram. The film also has newbie Priyanka Kumar in a pivotal role. The film has music by Charan Raj, Suri’s regular collaborator. Once Bad Manners releases, Abishek is expected to start work on Kaali, a period love story set in the 90s, in which he will be paired with Kantara fame Sapthami Gowda. He’s also got an as yet untitled film with Ayogya maker Mahesh Kumar in the pipeline.
