Looks like Sandalwood's "Young Rebel Star" Abishek Ambareesh is on a signing spree. Having made his debut back in 2019 with Amar, Abishek treaded carefully before giving the nod to his second venture which turned out to be Duniya Suri's gangster flick Bad Manners. As this film inches toward completion, Abishek has emphatically announced both his third and fourth films that shall be helmed by top-tier directors.

The official announcement regarding these upcoming ventures was made on the occasion of Rebel Star Ambareesh's birth anniversary on May 29. First of the two is DOP Krishna's period romance drama Kaali which is set against the backdrop of Cauvery protests in the early '90s. Abishek Ambareesh can be seen donning an intense avatar in the film that boasts of also being a pure action commercial flick. And owing to his tall and impressive physical build that commands an "action-image", Abishek has signed another action entertainer in his kitty which shall be directed by S. Mahesh Kumar of Madhagaja fame. The project's first look was unveiled yesterday with the young actor seen with a bloodied and rugged face and is currently titled 'AA04'.

"The Rebellion Begins" reads the first look poster to suggest that the film will pack a lot of intensity and raw action. In a recent online interview, S. Mahesh revealed that AA04 is the story of a warrior and a rather fresh subject for Abishek to dabble in. The project will reportedly take off on October 3 (Abishek Ambareesh's birthday) and all the other key details regarding the cast and crew shall be made public in due time.

On the other hand, Abishek Ambareesh's fans are keenly looking forward to Bad Manners in which he plays a cop for the first time in his short career. With an acclaimed director like Suri at the helm, the project is being touted as Abishek's opportunity to re-launch himself following a rather lukewarm response to his debut Amar.
