Abhishek Bachchan starrer I Want To Talk was released in theaters on November 22. Directed by Shoojit Sircar, the film shows how Abhishek's character Arjun, who is on the verge of a life-changing surgery, navigates a complicated relationship with his daughter. The film has received positive reviews from the audience and his acting was also praised. Amid this, in a new interview, Abhishek reacted to being compared to Irrfan Khan. For the unversed, the late actor was the first choice for Shoojit Sircar's I Want To Talk.

After watching I Want To Talk, several viewers have compared Abhishek Bachchan with Irrfan Khan. They said that they saw shades of the late actor in his portrayal.

Reacting to the comparisons, Abhishek said, "That's got nothing to do with me. Actors are very well-paid, pampered puppets. Here's the grand master puppeteer."

Abhishek Bachchan on working with Shoojit Sircar

Talking about working with the ace filmmaker, Shoojit Sircar, the actor said, "He doesn't like his actors to act. He wants his actors to just be, so he spends months sometimes preparing them to be that character. It seems a bit bizarre at first because it's not conventional. I asked him, what he wants, he just said, 'trust me'." He added that trust exercises are one of the first exercises they do in acting groups.

About I Want To Talk

Meanwhile, the OTTplay review of I Want To Talk says that the film is not a comfortable watch and may draw criticism for its pacing and adds, "but this discomfort is intentional, as the second half reveals. It’s the story of a man battling death, and nothing can shake his resolve."

Praising the film, one X user wrote, "Thank you for this gem movie. Arjun’s Sen fight with death where he says Death will be won only once but Arjun Sen will win 99 times. This has been one of the inspirational stories which gave us reason to fight every day"

Some viewers even said that Abhishek is a better actor than his father Amitabh Bachchan.

The plot of I Want To Talk revolves around Abhishek who played the role of Arjun Sen, an NRI. He underwent a life-altering surgery. Apart from health struggles, Arjun is also worried about being a single parent for his daughter.
