Abhishek Bachchan on comparisons with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan: 'My wife is my wife, my family...'

Recently, Abhishek Bachchan opened up about being compared to his actor-wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Rumors of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan's divorce have been circulating for quite some time now. However, the couple has remained silent on addressing the reports. Last month, Aishwarya and Abhishek delighted fans by attending a party together in Mumbai. Now, in a recent interview, Abhishek opened up on being compared to his actress-wife Aishwarya.

In a recent interview with CNBC-TV18, Abhishek addressed comparisons with his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and if these ever bother him.

He said that it is never going to get easy but after 25 years of being asked the same question, he has become immune to it. "If you're comparing me to my father, you're comparing me to the best. And if I'm being compared to the best, then maybe I'm worthy of being considered alongside these great names. That's how I look at it," he said.

Expressing his pride in his family, Abhishek further added, "My parents are my parents, my family is my family, my wife is my wife, and I am immensely proud of them, their achievements and everything they continue to do."

Silencing rumors of a tiff and an impending divorce, the couple attended a party together recently, looked happy, and took selfies together. The actress' mother Brinda Rai and producer Anu Ranjan accompanied the couple at the event.

Work front

Meanwhile, on the work front, Aishwarya recently returned to work. Celebrity make-up artist Adrian Jacobs took to social media and shared a picture with the actress and wrote, "A lovely day at work @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb."

On the other hand, Abhishek was recently seen in Shoojit Sircar's I Want To Talk. The film received positive reviews. The plot follows Abhishek Bachchan as Arjun Sen, a marketing executive who is diagnosed with cancer and must undergo major surgery. It is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
