The rural comedy, which has music by Kamran, is produced by Rajini
Abhay Bethiganti, who shot to fame with his comedy roles in films like Pelli Choopulu, George Reddy, Sammohanam and Geetha Govindam, is set to wield the megaphone for his next. The film, titled Ramanna Youth, isn't only directed by him but will also feature him in the lead. A rural comedy in the making, the film stars Srikanth Iyengar, Thagubothu Ramesh and Jabardasth-fame Rohini in crucial roles too. The first look poster was unveiled by Jathi Ratnalu actors Priyadarshi, Rahul Ramakrishna today.
The colourful first look of the film hints at its small-town backdrop and also that it revolves around the conflict between Hyderabad and a place named Ankshapur. Apart from the lead characters in Ramanna Youth, the first look has a car going ahead on a rod and a series of party flags in the background as well. Is Ramanna Youth a light-hearted comedy about small-town eccentricities and politics? We'll know soon.
While tweeting the poster, Rahul Ramakrishna in typical Telangana slang wished Abhay Bethiganti the best and asked audiences to wait for a kick-ass trailer too."Maa mitrudu @abhayuniverse cinema theeshindu! Poster soodurri! Embatne trailer kuda idishipedthadanta! Icchipadesthadu! Congrats to the team and wishing them the very best!," he wrote. Priyadarshi added, "Super-Duper thrilled to launch the poster of “Ramanna Youth” Written & Directed by my brother @abhaybethigannti. Best wishes to the Team."
Fahad Abdul Majeed has cranked the camera for the film that's produced by Rajini under Firefly Arts. Kamran has scored the music for Ramanna Youth that's edited by Rupak Ronaldson and Abhay Bethiganti himself. Laksmi Sindhuja is the art director while Kasarla Shyam and Niklesh Sunkoji have penned the lyrics. Nagarjuna Thallapalli is the sound designer with K Prathibha Reddy and Ashwanth Byri handling costume design.
