Director Raj Chakraborty noticed Partha Bhowmick’s love for acting
After the ministerial meeting when Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee was in her room and talking to some reporters, irrigation minister-actor Partha Bhowmick entered suddenly and lightened up the mood. After his successful portrayal of Karalibabu in Raj Chakraborty’s Abar Proloy, even Mamata Banerjee liked his famous dialogue, ‘Hello Sir’ and praised the MLA of Naihati.
Partha has been actively involved with theatre for a long time. Director Raj Chakraborty noticed that. Partha bagged the role of Karalibabu in Abar Proloy because of Raj. The 'Hello Sir' meme is now viral on social media. Many people are saying they did not know the minister could act so well. The news reached Nabanna also.
Partha Bhowmick became evidently embarrassed at hearing ‘Hello Sir’ by the journalists and signaled them to stop. But the CM took notice of Partha and said, “I heard you acted well. I am happy that you worked well amidst your busy schedule.” One reporter asked the CM to watch the series. Mamata said that if someone in her party works in art, literature, or culture, she feels marvelous. Partha touched Mamata’s feet and sought her blessing.
Partha did not tell the CM about Abar Proloy’s shooting. He took a vacation saying that he would go to Sunderban with his family. He joined work after shooting for four days. However, he said he would not work in any film or series even if he got an offer. It is being heard that he will continue doing theatre till March 12, 2024. Then he will concentrate on political tasks since the preparation of the Parliament Election will start then.
