Abar Proloy: After Alia Bhatt’s Khela Hobe, Raj Chakraborty blends the phrase in a dance number

Raj Chakraborty is debuting in OTT with his magnum opus Abar Proloy . The trailer is out and has received a positive reaction from the audience. Produced by Subhasree Ganguly, the web series features Saswata Chatterjee as Animesh Dutta. Besides, the series also features a series of artistes, including Paran Bandyopadhyay, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Ritwick Chakraborty, Kaushani Mukherjee, Sohini Sengupta, and others. Subhashree shared the first song – Menoka – on her social media on Friday. The dance number that features Gaurav and Nusraat Faria has already garnered popularity.

The song’s hook line is Khela Hobe – a slogan that the ruling party of West Bengal used before the 2021 assembly polls. Interestingly, it is the phrase Khela Hobe by Alia Bhatt in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani that has intrigued the Bengali audience since the trailer release of the Karan Johar film. Now the song in Raj’s web series has made it popular once again. It is to be noted that Raj is also an MLA from the ruling party from Barrackpore.

Subhasree shared glimpses of the song on Instagram and asked the audience to get ready to match their steps with Khela Hobe.

Baba Yadav has choreographed the song that shows Gaurav making dance moves – a fairly uncommon trait by the actor. While the song garnered wide appreciation, one person drew a comparison between Menoka and Pushpa’s legendary number Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava. The fan wrote, “This is a copy of Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava of Pushpa. Can Rajda not think about anything originally?”

Raj’s feature film Proloy was a milestone in his career. The sequel will be released on August 11 on Zee5. The trailer shows a spine-chilling glimpse of how girls are lured by love and then trafficked. Animesh Dutta, played by Saswata, is determined to stop this. Rubel, who was accused of girl trafficking, gets murdered and Animesh Dutta investigates it. He suspects everyone. Who murdered Rubel? The answer will be there on August 11.
