Aarya 3: Sushmita Sen announces new season for Ram Madhvani directorial, watch video

Sushmita Sen is gearing to be back in her fierce avatar again with Aarya 3. Ram Madhvani's upcoming directorial has officially entered its scripting stage. The former Miss Universe announced the new season of International Emmy-nominated Hotstar Specials with a special promo clip.

The latest montage showcases a few glimpses of Sushmita as Arya from season 2. In the end, Aarya season 3 poster pops out on the screen that says, "The Journey Begins."

The Bollywood diva shared the clip with a special caption on her official Instagram handle that reads, "Sherni begins a new journey. #HotstarSpecials #AaryaS3 development begins. @disneyplushotstar

Talking about her fierce avatar in the upcoming instalment, Sushmita said in a recent statement that it is a new dawn for her character, Aarya Sareen and she is going places and starting her own story free from the obstacles of her past. She further mentioned that reprising the fiery character for the third instalment is like slipping into an old pair of jeans but for a brand-new journey. "It feels great to be back with Ram Madhvani and the Disney+ Hotstar team, can’t wait to return the love and appreciation viewers have showered on Aarya," she added.

Talking about the developments of Aarya season 3, the ace director mentioned that the journey of developing a gripping storyline, thrill and family love has started and the team is sure this will once again leave audiences wanting more.

Adapted from the Dutch drama series Penoza, the Hotstar original Hindi series has Sushmita in the titular role. It follows the story of a one-woman army, who rise to the occasion and goes back to her early life as a gangster to avenge her husband's death and to keep her children safe.

The crime-thriller series is backed by Ram Madhvani and Amita Madhvani under Ram Madhvani Films and Endemol Shine Group India.
