Aamir Khan last appeared in the movie "Laal Singh Chaddha." The film was Forrest Gump's official adaption and was finally released in August 2022 after numerous delays. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh were featured in the movie as well. The film did not do well at the box office and the Lagaan actor then took a break from acting. Since then, the actor has not yet revealed what his next project will be. However, the actor has now booked the release date of his next film.
Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Santoshi to reunite
After working together on Andaz Apna Apna 30 years back, Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Santoshi are collaborating on an entertaining film, according to insiders familiar with the production. “Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Santoshi have been discussing a subject for a while now and things have finally fallen into place," according to a source by Pinkvilla. "Aamir has loved what’s developed by Santoshi and has been sitting with him to work on all the aspects over the last few months.”
The movie is currently in pre-production and will begin shooting in January 2024. According to reports, Akshay Kumar's Welcome 3, which has the working title "Welcome To The Jungle," will likewise be released in theaters around Christmas 2024. If everything works out, Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar will compete against each other at the box office.
Aamir and Rajkumar Santoshi are prepared to deliver their entertainer over the holiday weekend in 2024. This would be the 16th movie from Aamir Khan's production company, Aamir Khan Productions. “Aamir and Rajkumar Santoshi have inked a two-film deal. While Aamir has committed himself to act in the first of the two films, the second one will go on floors later in 2025. Aamir was taken aback by both the subjects and has happily associated himself with the director known for cults like Ghayal, Ghatak, Damini, Khakhee, Bhagat Singh among others,” the source added.
The movie will be produced by Aamir Khan with Jio Studios serving as his production partner.
