Ashok Selvan, who made his straight Telugu debut with the feel-good romance Ninnila Ninnila last year, returns to the industry with another release Aakasam. His Ninnila Ninnila co-star Ritu Varma reunites with him again for a coming-of-tale that has two other female leads - Shivathmika Rajashekar and Aparna Balamurali. Written and directed by Ra. Karthik, Aakasam was simultaneously made in Tamil where it's titled Nitham Oru Vaanam. The film is set to release in both languages on November 4.

Dasara star Nani unveiled the trailer of Aakasam earlier today. The film promises to be a breezy entertainer shot across scenic locales showcasing the highs and the lows in the life of a modern-day youngster. Expectedly, it focuses on the romance chapter in his life, showcasing how he overcomes heartbreak, loses his identity and rediscovers himself on a holiday. Ashok Selvan is seen in three contrasting looks in the trailer across the different phases in his life.

Kalyani Natarajan, Kaali Venkat and Abhirami too essay important roles in this simple, heart-warming romance that aims to shed new light on the complications in modern-day relationships. The realistic treatment of the story, the technical appeal of the film stands out in the trailer, assuring a visually-compelling viewing experience in the big screen. Vidhu Ayyanna, who also worked for Ori Devuda recently, is the cinematographer for the bilingual which has music by Gopi Sundar.

Dharan Kumar has come up with the background score with Anthony and Kamal Nathan handling duties as an editor and art director respectively. The film reminds you of Nani's Yevade Subrahmanyam in places and it's indeed a coincidence that he unveiled Aakasam's trailer too.
