Aakanksha Singh talks about her ‘interesting journey’ of prepping for Rangbaaz 3

Rangbaaz is all set to return for another exciting new thrilling season. Aakanksha Singh joins the political thriller for its new season, essaying the role of Hena Shahab, wife of late politician Mohammad Shahabuddin. The actress recently opened up about her preparation for the role.
In conversation with IANS, the actress talked about the ‘extensive research’ she had to do to prepare herself. As she played a politician’s wife, Singh spent a lot of time watching interviews, documentaries and videos everyday before filming began. The actress revealed that she used to spend almost 4-5 hours watching the videos.
Singh spoke of how she wanted to not only look like her character, but also ‘imbibe’ the characteristics and traits of her role as well. The actress said that she wanted her portrayal to look as authentic as possible on screen. “Overall, working on 'Rangbaaz' has been an interesting journey," she said.
The third season of the political thriller will focus on the story of Mohammad Shahabuddin, a politician who was convicted in the kidnapping and disappearance case of a political activist. In addition to Singh, the upcoming third season of the show will also feature Vineet Kumar Singh and Rajesh Tilang in prominent roles.
The first season of Ranbaaz was inspired by the story of Prakash Shukla, a gangster who was active in the 1990s in Uttar Pradesh. The second season revolved around the story of Anand Pal Singh, another gangster who mostly operated in Rajasthan.
The first two seasons of Rangbaaz are available for streaming on ZEE5.
Meanwhile, Singh was last seen in Runway 34, where she shared the screen with Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh. She is also awaiting the release of her film, Meet Cute.
