Actor Jimmy Jean Louis stated in an OTTplay interview how much he was interested in appearing in an Indian movie each year. The Hollywood actor portrays Ibrahim Khadiri in Blessy's survival thriller Aadujeevitham, which debuted in theatres on March 28.

He mentioned that he has acted in several films in several languages, including French, Spanish, English, and Italian. He also mentioned that he had no prior knowledge of the Indian film industry, but he is now fully aware of it and that he is eager to explore its possibilities.

‘Want to explore Indian industry more’

"I have made the decision to familiarise myself with the current trends of the Indian film industry because I think there is potential for me to work on a broader range of films and characters here. I wish to be ready for any opportunity that may arise," he remarked.

The Detective Knight actor stated that while he has seen clips of both director Blessy and co-star Prithviraj Sukumaran’s works he has not watched any of their films fully. “I will be watching their movies soon,” he added.

‘Preference for films that sent out a message’

Jimmy declared that as long as it makes sense to tell, he is willing to play any role, no matter how good or bad. "Even though I like to amuse people, would not it be better if we were able to give the audience something valuable? I think it is my responsibility as an artist to screen films that are both fun and instructive," he stated.

To be honest, I doubt that at any point in my career, I gave the idea of making an appearance in an Indian film a second thought. Despite my lack of prior knowledge about the actors, the plot, the director, or the industry, Aadujeevitham's pitch piqued my curiosity and held it throughout. I am a fairly daring individual who likes learning about interesting, fresh subjects and narratives.
